Corfu-Pembroke DFS Attends Dollars for Scholars ChapterNet Training Conference

Delhi, NY —October 29, 2011 — Corfu Pembroke Dollars for Scholars® President, Arthur 'Doc' Mruczek  ® recently joined 26 other chapters attending the 2011 Dollars for Scholars ChapterNet Training Conference held at SUNY College of Technology at Delhi. This conference provided hands-on, expert-led training on ChapterNet, a new technology platform launched by Scholarship America®, the parent organization to Dollars for Scholars.  Ten ChapterNet Technology Conferences will be held across the country.

ChapterNet is designed to tie together chapter, state, regional, and national information in order to create a more efficient and effective chapter. ChapterNet allows a website to be customized for specific needs and creates an online, automated scholarship application and matching process. Chapter administrative tools offer assistance in scholarship management, student tracking, and the ability to communicate easily with donors and volunteers.

By attending the conference, Corfu Pembroke Dollars for Scholars®  have a chapter website but now has the ability to set up online scholarship applications. The implementation of ChapterNet will allow Corfu Pembroke Dollars for Scholars®  to better serve our students, volunteers, and the goals of the organization.

The Corfu-Pembroke Dollars for Scholars was Chartered on June 12, 2008. Dr. Mruczek noted "they provide leadership to raise funds and distribute scholarships to local students." Community members, alumni, or anyone can make a tax-deductible donation to Corfu-Pembroke DFS to help fund DFS scholarships or establish their own scholarship through DFS
